You may or may not know that one of our brands is Knight's Fishing. Less than a one-minute walk away from our rooms for hire is Earls Colne Fishing. A premier, members only, fishing lake. With the largest UK catfish homed there. Thor is over 130lb and will give you a fight like you wouldn't believe! There are plenty of catfish from mid-doubles all the way up to plenty over 70lb. Including 3 pure white catfish that go by the names of Tina, Arthur, and Spartacus!
In this stunning lake there are carp that go to weights over 30lb and some incredible VS Mirror carp.
Why not consider booking your meeting to coincide with a fishing trip? We offer discount rates on the fishing lake when booked with your room hire. With space for 10 anglers, on 6 swims, 4 of which are double swims.

Less than 12-miles away from our venue is the magnificent Colchester Zoo. With over 160 species in 60 acres of parkland and lakes, this zoo is not to be missed.
Take a look at the Bears, Chimpanzees, Big Cats, Elephants, Giraffes, Komodo Dragons, Meerkats, Red Pandas, or visit the petting zoo.
Earls Colne Airfield
Our offices are located on the same estate as the Earls Colne Airfield. If you fancy taking a few photos of the planes or want to see if the Air Ambulance Helicopter is around, you can.
You could even arrive in your helicopter, there is space to land.
East Anglian Railway Museum
Head across to the East Anglian Railway Museum, less than 5-miles from our offices.
Get the right date for your visit and you might even get to see Thomas the Tank Engine!
Earls Colne is a beautiful village, situated between Colchester and Braintree, and is in Colne Valley. Named after the River Colne it is situated near and the Earls of Oxford, who lived in the Manor between the 11th and 18th centuries. St. Andrews Church dates from the 14th century and many of houses and buildings date back as far as the 17th century.
There are numerous footpaths, countryside, and woodlands in and around Earls Colne to explore. With a selection of shops, restaurants and pubs, there is plenty to keep you busy.
