Prices can vary depending on several factors involved in your hire. However, we know that it can be frustrating not have an idea about prices. We've put a guide down for most areas that would be involved in a booking, but the best way to get a full quote is to contact us.
Room Hire Rates
Because each hire is unique and depending on what you need, there may be differing costs, it is easier to get a full quote from us directly. You can contact us on this website, email enquiries@essexvenuehire.com, or call us on 01376 573999
The costs below are for room hire only - this includes 3 rounds of teas and coffees (up to a maximum of 20 delegates).
Half-day bookings are typically from 9am to 1pm or from 1:30pm to 5:30pm alternative times may be available, so do let us know what times you need.
Please note, that if there is another booking immediately before or after your half-day booking, you may need to vacate the room 10 minutes early or have a 10 minute delay before you can enter the room, to allow us to reset the room.
Full-day bookings are typically from 9am to 5pm. This timing can be changed or alternative times agreed if you let us know what times you need.
There is an option to arrive earlier or leave later, however, this will need to be agreed prior to your booking and will incur additional costs.

Delegate Rates:
We do offer a delegate rate on full-day bookings, in most of our rooms, with a minimum of 10 delegates. To discuss this please get in touch with us and chat with us before confirming your booking. Delegate rates start from £24 per delegate which still includes teas and coffees (up to 20 delegates). Our delegate rates including lunch start from £29.50 per delegate.

Catering Prices
Lunch packages and catering prices are almost harder to give an idea on because of the sheer volume of choice we offer through our catering partners, The Essex Catering Company and D'Lights. However, we've given you an idea below for some of the most popular catering choices.
Working Lunch Platters
For a simple sandwich platter you start at £6.00 per person. The "Indulgent" working lunch is the most popular choice at £12 per person, we strongly recommend the cheese and onion quiche as one of the finger foods!
Finger Buffet
Options
Starting from £13.95 per person for a 6-item buffet. There is an 8-item option at £17.50 per person, up to the top option of 10-items for £20.95 per person
Barbecue Options
In the summer or or for large events, BBQ catering is great option and with prices from £12 per person, you can't go wrong.
Three Course Meals
For full events catered with a 3-course meal, these start at £48.95 per person.
Additional Studio Costs
There are two main additional studio costs. Having a technician in the studio to help you with everything from camera operation and placement to lighting adjustments and recording scenes for you. The other addition is our editing services.
Studio Technician Hire & Equipment Hire: £695 per day
Editing services: Starting at £45 per hour
Editing services will need to be quoted. The service is usually quoted on an estimated hours required, we aim to quote higher than the time needed, in order to come in on budget or under. However, the level of work varies for every project and therefore, we cannot guarantee quotes for editing and they are subject to change.

Moving & Assisting Equipment Hire
Equipment as standard is a profile bed, hoist, sling, and slide sheet. Charge to hire this equipment is £20. We have a range of additional equipment that can be arranged if you have a requirement for different equipment, although you'll need to speak to our sales team when booking to make sure the equipment is something we have and to see if there are any additional charges for the extra equipment.
Additional Teas and Coffees
For any bookings with over 20 delegates, if you want to add extra teas and coffees, it will be £2 per person over the initial 20 delegates. So, if you have 25 delegates, you pay £2 for 5 people = £10 extra for teas and coffees. This will be the same 3 rounds of teas and coffees. We know that occasionally some people might want a couple of extra tea bags, which is not a problem. Also, if you would prefer more tea than coffee, or vice versa, then just let us know and we'll arrange that for you.
Fishing at Earls Colne Fishing
As we manage Earls Colne Fishing, which is situated right next to our offices, we are happy to offer discounted fishing rates as part of your venue hire if this is something you wanted to do. This could be for one or two of you or if you wanted to do a corporate day out and look at tying your meeting in with an exclusive lake booking, we will look at arranging this for you. For discounted fishing, please speak to us before booking the venue.
